Katie says, “I am starting a new job at a non-profit and the original job title was “Brand Manager.” They recently changed it to “Digital Outreach Manager” because to them, this title makes more sense. I’m not sure it’s a title that is used in the marketing world as nothing comes up when I search for it and I don’t want to use a job title that doesn’t mean anything to folks in the marketing world. My previous title at the job I am leaving is “Marketing Manager,” for reference.
Should I ask for the title to be changed back? Thoughts?”
