6 Instagram Marketing Tactics To Grow Followers

Instagram is killin’ the game right now, but it can be challenging for businesses to grow their following on the platform. It’s something we’re constantly working on. Buffer’s Instagram is a great source for inspiration. They have it figured out. Typical…

Lucky for us, Buffer talks about what they do to grow their Instagram account in today’s Listen. Seriously good tips in this one and we’ve summed them up for you right here:

  1. Consistency is key. Accounts with the highest number of fans post two to three photos per day.
  2. Study and stock up on quality hashtags. You can use Hashtag generator to find the good ones. Also, look at influencers in your niche to see what hashtags they’re using!
  3. Share user-generated content. It’s hard to find photos that are fun or compelling when you’re a business on Instagram, but your fans and users likely have tons of awesome content.
  4. Ask users to tag a friend or comment on a post. The more comments you can get on a post, the higher that post will be valued by Instagram’s algorithm. Use this tactic sparingly, though.
  5. Host a photo contest. Use a hashtag to collect photos around a single theme. REI’s #optoutside campaign is a killer example of this.
  6. Cross-promote. This one is simple. Occasionally share your Instagram photos on your other social platforms. Another tip is to embed your Instagram photos in your blog.

Using ABM & Inbound Marketing to Get the Customers You Want

Not gonna lie, we’ve been trying to find a good article about Account-Based Marketing (ABM) for a minute, so we were hype to find this Read. ABM isn’t exactly a new concept, but it’s been repackaged recently and catching some attention — mainly because it works. If we had to put money on it, we’d say it’s going to be a tactic that many B2B companies will be using in the near future.

If you need a refresher, ABM is about identifying companies you want to work with and using a multichannel approach to reach the entire buying committee, rather than one person.

Think of it like the difference between fishing with a net and fishing with a spear. Inbound marketing is like fishing with a net — you throw the net out and grab a bunch of leads. ABM is like spear fishing — you identify the fish (lead) you want and go after it.

Creating an ABM campaign requires that you get personal with the company you want to work with. What is their specific challenge, and how can you solve it better than your competitors? Once you’ve got that figured out, create your campaign for that company. Use LinkedIn, Facebook, email, Adwords, or whatever platform it takes to get in front of that company’s buying committee.

The best part is that when you do ABM in conjunction with inbound marketing, it’s crazy effective. Today’s Read breaks it all down.

7 Hacks to Boost Your Conversion Rate

Neil Patel is at it again with one of those vids we love so much —  short, sweet, and to the point. So, we’ll do the same. Below are 7 simple hacks and tools anyone can use to help boost leads and sales. Watch it for the full low-down, though.

  1. Countdown clocks create a sense of urgency and make people move faster. Neil’s boosted his conversion by 11%.
  2. Exit Popups show your viewers why they shouldn’t be leaving your site. The really good ones can increase leads by 600% or more!
  3. Free trials
  4. User geotargeting via Maxmind can add a visitor’s location to your headline, making it more personal and relevant to them specifically.
  5. Picsnippets allows you to create a more personalized email with the individual’s name in the photo.
  6. Remarketing — this is a bit overused, so get clever with it, na na na na na na na nana (please read that to the tune of “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It”)
  7. Quizzes are a super-effective way of engaging with your audience (then you ask for their email once you’ve roped ‘em in). Neil suggests LeadQuizzes and, hey look, they have a free trial.
