Pocket Stats

Here’s what we learned about The Daily Carnage community this week:

  • Our TikTok covering Instagram’s interest in private engagement features went viral this weekend, sparking a conversation about the platform’s waning performance as a marketing tool and a social network. So, we asked subscribers how satisfied they are with Instagram. Here’s what we found:
    • Extremely satisfied: 10%
    • Very satisfied: 15%
    • Satisfied: 29%
    • Somewhat satisfied: 40%
    • Not satisfied at all: 6%
  • 79% of marketers report that they would NOT pay for AI features in Google search results. The historically ad-funded search engine is allegedly exploring the option to paywall results that use generative AI technology.
  • 74% of marketers work from a dynamic social philosophy to guide messaging instead of adhering to a rigid social playbook.
  • The majority (63%) of marketers like the new Disney+ branding, which incorporates Hulu green into a new color, named “Aurora.” The refresh has been more controversial with traditionalist Disney fans.
