Every time I’m asked to grab an item out of my wife’s purse, I cringe. I can never find what she’s asking for.
Why am I telling you this?
Because while I don’t claim to know what it’s like to carry a purse around, I do have an idea as to the frustration that comes with fitting so many items into such a small space.
Rachel Reid is about to give you some more room in that purse. It all started when Rachel and her friends grew tired of trying to jam their makeup bags into their purses. Their solution was putting makeup in tiny contact lens cases and calling it “Ho on the Go.”
Rachel ultimately landed on a different name for the company, something a little more subtle (literally). It’s called Subtl Beauty and it consists of a compact, customizable stack of makeup products.
Rachel and her team just closed out a successful Kickstarter campaign raising over $10k in just 52 hours.
During our conversation, we discuss how she validated her idea, when she knew it was time to quit her job, and much more.
