The Objective

With the necessary NDAs in place, we learned S4H was preparing for a flurry of media attention following Richard Branson’s groundbreaking Virgin Galactic spaceflight. Branson was scheduled to announce an Omaze sweepstakes for two tickets to space, with proceeds benefiting Space for Humanity.

Pre-Launch Checklist

In preparation of this historic campaign, Space for Humanity asked us to take over their social media channels, email, and advertising efforts; conduct a website audit to stress-test against anticipated peak in traffic; and develop a press kit for better storytelling and media coverage. This two-week sprint also included a branded campaign to relaunch their Citizen Astronaut Program, through which they send leaders from all walks of life to space to enact positive change here on Earth.

Drawing on our working knowledge of space enthusiasts, artists, and the commercial space companies we already worked with, we quickly got on board with Space For Humanity’s mission, goals, and audiences.

And Beyond

Our two-week sprint turned into a successful partnership. We became S4H’s marketing arm overseeing strategy, campaign management, creative communications, production, video/animation, and email marketing. We helped S4H mark significant developments in citizen spaceflight from four civilians orbiting earth on the Inspiration4 to 90-year-old William Shatner, Captain Kirk himself, becoming the oldest person in space.
