Get PR for Your Brand
Let’s talk about getting press. PR is an incredible way to reach a wide variety of people — if it’s done right. You can’t just sit there and expect journalists & people in PR to reach out to you. You also can’t blast emails to a ton of journalists.
Well, you can, but it won’t work. There’s a better way.
Aaron Agius & Sujan Patel are great at getting PR for their brands. They don’t do it in a spammy way. They actually make authentic connections with journalists. You’ll hear what they do to get press and how you can do it too in today’s Listen.
Apps Aren’t Dead
According to a new report from app store analytics firm App Annie, mobile applications saw a record number of downloads and revenue in the first quarter of 2017.
Across both iOS and Android, downloads grew by 15 percent year-over-year to reach nearly 25 billion worldwide — a figure that includes only new downloads, not re-installs or downloads from prior quarters.
Most importantly, consumer spend on apps also grew 45 percent in Q1, to reach over $15 billion across iOS and Android worldwide. What does this mean for your business? We already know Instagram and Facebook have the potential to become the one-stop-shop for consumers. But don’t write off the possibility of creating an app for your product.
Modern audiences are moving farther and farther away from sifting through websites. Give them a single destination for browsing and purchasing, and reap the benefits.
The Value of a Legacy
leg·a·cy ˈle-gə-sē: something transmitted by or received from an ancestor or predecessor or from the past.
Do the products you produce and purchase today create a legacy you’ll be proud of? If we are not improving lives with our businesses, we quickly become replaceable.
Brands are therefore discovering ways to dig deeper and strike an emotional chord with their customers. Consider Artifact Uprising: a brand that allows individuals to create custom photo books, albums, cards, and print photos.
Today’s video content highlights the value of using inspiring story telling rather than a fact-based ad.
