What We Learned
Monday: Disclosing your ads and partnerships on social media or through influencers is essential. To keep it transparent with your users, there are 4 easy ways to disclose your ad content from the Ad Standards blog.
Tuesday: People are hard to capture in one marketing touch alone. So you have to serve multiple ads to possibly grab their attention. The thing is, if you serve an ad too often, it leads to ad fatigue. Revealbot gave 12 ways to avoid Facebook ad fatigue with ad strategies and settings.
Wednesday: FTC regulations are important…but pretty boring to read. We broke down the legal jargon for you in our issue about how to use testimonials, endorsements, and UGC in an FTC-friendly way. It comes from the recently updated Title 16 CFR pt 255 from the FTC.
Thursday: Headlines have to be attention grabbing, but you can’t fake out your readers with click bait. Zero Gravity Marketing gave tips for getting natural clicks with high-value content and why you should avoid click bait.

- 2 oz vanilla rum
- 1 oz almond liqueur
- Splash of pineapple juice
- Splash of cranberry juice
- Orange, lime, or pineapple
- In a cocktail shaker, shake the vanilla rum, almond liqueur, pineapple juice, cranberry juice, and ice.
- Strain into a glass filled with ice. It will be a little frothy on top if shaken well.
- Garnish if you’d like, then sip away like a pirate on a calm bay.
