Hacking the Drive-Thru
Pizza Hut has launched a Cheeseburger Melt, a parmesan-crusted, thin crust melt filled with beef, bacon, onions, mozzarella, and cheddar—with a “Burger Sauce” served on the side.
You know who is definitely in the mood for a cheeseburger? People currently waiting in line at a fast food chain’s drive-thru.

So the Hut is sending delivery drivers into the queue, equipped with a QR code on their back windows, to be scanned if you “want a better burger.”
If you take the bait, you get a coupon for a free Cheeseburger Melt and a Pepsi. The cheeky stunt is running in Chicago and Miami, the HQs of McD’s and BK, respectively.
