3-Step B2B Copywriting Formula

B2B marketers are notorious for overcomplicating copy (while users are quietly bouncing).

Instead of leaning into features, jargon, and company backstory, try a sharper, more modern formula:

  1. What do I get? Buyers scan for benefits first. If they can’t immediately see how their work (and reputation) will improve, they’re gone. Highlight what they’ll accomplish, how fast, and how it makes them look.
  2. How can I use it? Use cases make your product tangible. Show how people like them have already applied it. Don’t list features. Tell stories. When they see someone else succeed, they can picture themselves doing it too.
  3. Why should I believe you? Objections kill deals. Don’t ignore them; disarm them. Share proof: integrations, quick onboarding, budget-friendly pricing, and recognizable customers. Buyers relax when they know their hesitations have already been solved.
