14 Digital Marketing Experts Share Their Marketing Home Run of 2018

To all the marketers out there: You know how important it is to be on the ball at all times. ⚾

So when there’s a home-run in your digital marketing efforts, it’s the move to get excited. And celebrate a li’l bit. Or a lot. 🍻🍻

If your goal is to start 2019 with no strikeouts, learn from some very successful marketers about what they did right this past year.

YouTube Superstar

With just one video on YouTube, Sunny Lenarduzzi, Founder of YouTube for Bosses, generated $100,000 in one year. We see you, Sunny! 👀

Basically, Sunny created an automated lead generation and sales system from her YouTube channel, which resulted in diversity in her lead gen platforms and generating revenue without paid advertising.

Instagram DM Queen

Instagram Direct Messaging has a ton of amazing benefits, the #1 being a great way to connect and communicate with people one on one.

Sue B. Zimmerman, The Instagram Expert of Sue B. Zimmerman Enterprise, did just that to sell her online coaching programs, encouraging those interested to send her a direct message.

With an offer point of $5K, it was important to push the message in all ways possible: through stories, in-feed posts, and in her bio. So, why ask people to slide into your DMs? One intimate connection = the likely possibility of a continuous client.

Though time consuming, Sue saw her efforts pay off. All because of Insta DMs. 📨

Feeling super inspired to knock your 2019 marketing efforts out of the park? (Are you tired of our baseball lines yet?) Keep readin’ for more success stories. 🏆

Anything but Free Delivery: 10 Ideas for Christmas Emails

Whether people are helping out Santa or just treatin’ themselves, the holiday season is a wonderful time to be a retailer or marketer. 🎁

Offering free shipping is always a great way to turn potential buyers into customers, but there are soooo many other strategies to reel people into what you’re selling.

Need some email-campaign inspo? SendPulse has some tricks in their bag. They’re basically Chris Kringle himself. 🎅

1) The Early Bird Catches the Sale

Whether or not that’s how the saying actually goes, launching your campaign as early as possible pays off. Big time.

Topshop offers a 50% off sale in November to get people thinking about their Christmas gifts, and at half off. The “exclusive” label makes people more likely to act on the sale because they’re doing it a lot earlier than their competition. (Cough cough, something to keep in mind for next year’s campaign…)

2) And On the 12th Day Of Christmas…

Why not go all-out and have a themed holiday campaign? For a period of 12 days, have a different offer or product on sale for 24 hours. The sense of urgency and exclusiveness will have people jumpin’ at each offer.

Clinique ran a gift marathon called “12 Days of Treats” where each purchase came with a different gift combination every day. 💄

Oh there’s no place like… email marketing to really sell your business… for the holidays. 🎄 In other words, get all of the A+ holiday inspo before Christmas comes and goes.

The Process: Aviation Gin

Ryan Reynolds just dropped a commercial to explain how Aviation Gin is humbly brought into this world. It’s pure genius with a dash of serenity and a pinch of that classic Ryan Reynolds tone we all love so very much.

If you’re going to watch anything today watch this.

“Social media is an ingredient, not an entree.”

Ads from the Past

This one dropped in 1939, and while it seems innocent enough, we just can’t get over the name “Junket”. Doesn’t seem great for a food brand.
