What We Learned

Monday: SEMrush talked about Evergreen content and how to create lasting content. Evergreen content is great for SEO because ranking takes time and evergreen content is more or less timeless. Look for relevant keywords and topics to your business, look at what currently ranks #1 and #2 for those keywords, and don’t forget to update your piece after publishing.

Tuesday: Moz walked us through what shifts in product demand mean for SEO. If your products’ demand has increased, manage temporary out-of-stock products and find opportunities to create new indexed pages. If demand has decreased, craft messaging for the moment.

Wednesday: Wordstream gave us 21+ free and effective October marketing ideas for small businesses. As always, we have the usual Halloween and fall festivities. Additionally there are plenty of causes for spreading awareness such as National Bullying Prevention and Breast Cancer Awareness.

Thursday: AdEspresso told us 4 essential goals on social media you need to optimize for. These include:

  • Brand Awareness & Expanded Reach
  • Community & Relationship Building
  • Lead Generation
  • Direct Sales
