Wedneday: Subejct lines are your biggest chance of getting an opened email. You only have a few words to grab someone’s attention, so you have to make them count. Mirabel’s Marketing Manager gave 7 great subject line writing tips with examples.

Thursday: Forbes featured agency founder David Gaz to share a little insight from his experience in ad campaign wins and losses. He said that marketers know how to follow the typical formulas for ads, but fall short when they make assumptions. He described his “Wheel of Fortune” marketing process as a means to treat his analytics like a video game quest and landing pages like puzzles.

Mario wrote, “Hi everyone! I was wondering, what video resolution or ratio has worked best for you for a cross-platform use ad? TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Youtube? I see a lot of 9:16 ratios now (Instagram reel ratio)”

Zoë asked, “Has anyone ever merged multiple sites into one site with multiple brands? If so, did you use a tabbed approach (like Gap) or something else? How did it affect conversion rate, etc?”

Alison posted, “Hey all! I’m looking at switching to a new email automation software (currently with Customer.io). What platforms are you all using and how do you find them for creating journeys and custom segments? I’m currently checking out Campaign Monitor, Keap, and Active Campaign!”

David asked, “I have a client that is opening two restaurants and we are looking into digital menu boards. Does anyone know a company that does this and does it well?”

Amaretto Bourbon with Red Wine Float

Ingredients

  • 3 oz bourbon
  • 1.5 oz amaretto
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 1.5 oz red wine of your choosing
  • Cherries for garnish

Steps

  1. Pour the first 3 ingredients into a glass with ice.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Gently pour red wine on top.
  4. Garnish with a cherry.
