Monday: Be sure you are taking the right steps to build a solid sender reputation from your email marketing. That way, you’re less likely to end up in a spam folder. Check out this awesome guide to 15 email mistakes to avoid from the Mailmodo blog.

Tuesday: What the heck is “dark social” and how can you track it? Chili Piper’s Demand Gen Chat podcast shared a conversation about dark social and how to use it to drive demand, plus how marketers can actually use all the data you collect from self-reported attribution to make business decisions.

Wedneday: Subejct lines are your biggest chance of getting an opened email. You only have a few words to grab someone’s attention, so you have to make them count. Mirabel’s Marketing Manager gave 7 great subject line writing tips with examples.

Thursday: Forbes featured agency founder David Gaz to share a little insight from his experience in ad campaign wins and losses. He said that marketers know how to follow the typical formulas for ads, but fall short when they make assumptions. He described his “Wheel of Fortune” marketing process as a means to treat his analytics like a video game quest and landing pages like puzzles.

Zoë asked, “Has anyone ever merged multiple sites into one site with multiple brands? If so, did you use a tabbed approach (like Gap) or something else? How did it affect conversion rate, etc?”

David asked, “I have a client that is opening two restaurants and we are looking into digital menu boards. Does anyone know a company that does this and does it well?”


Amaretto Bourbon with Red Wine Float


  • 3 oz bourbon
  • 1.5 oz amaretto
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 1.5 oz red wine of your choosing
  • Cherries for garnish


  1. Pour the first 3 ingredients into a glass with ice.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Gently pour red wine on top.
  4. Garnish with a cherry.
