The Marketing Accountability Council (MAC) Stack

The Marketing Accountability Council has published a working version of tthe MAC Stack, a new system designed by and for marketers who are tired of fads, fluff, and frameworks that fall apart in the real world.

Here’s how it breaks down:

🪦 SYMPTOMS: The Graveyard (Steward: Jay Mandel)
Where bad ideas go to die. Think loyalty programs that punish loyalty, bloated martech stacks, and tired tactics that need to be laid to rest.

🎣 CAUSES: The Delusion Series (Steward: Jacob Sanders)
Explores the beliefs behind broken marketing, like “It worked for Nike” or “The algorithm hates us.”

🧠 TESTS: The Heuristics Project (Steward: Moni Oloyede)
Ten tough questions to gut-check your work before launch. Are you solving real problems? Would you trust this message?

⚠️ TREATMENT: The TRUST Framework (in-progress)
A shared ethical operating system:

  • Transparency
  • Relevance
  • Utility
  • Storytelling
  • Tangible Impact

🧭 The Compass
The conscience of the Stack. It’s the final gut check: Are we being honest with ourselves? Are we dressing up opinions as facts?

The team holds weekly MAC Sessions on Fridays. Head to their Substack to learn more.

Amazon Vine

Amazon Vine allows eligible sellers to receive up to 30 honest reviews from trusted “Vine Voices” before a product even goes live, which can help boost sales by up to 30%.

First, trusted reviewers get early access to products. Then, their in-depth feedback appears as verified reviews. This social proof improves visibility and trust from day one.

If you’re a brand-registered seller with eligible FBA listings, and you operate in a major Amazon marketplace, you’re eligible to start using Amazon Vine. You’re only charged if a review is posted within 90 days—so, $75 for 3 to 10 reviews, and so on.

Gettin’ Greasy

KFC Sorry Manners

KFC Canada deliciously ditches decorum in a new campaign called “Sorry Manners.”

The ad opens with a polished, Regency-era dinner party straight out of Bridgerton (and shot at a real-life castle in Prague), complete with classical music, corsets, and polite conversation.

But when the fried chicken hits the table, all hell breaks loose.

Directed by Martin Werner and created by Courage under the “Unapologetically KFC” platform, the spot is a gravy-chugging guilty pleasure.
