Launch the Problem, Not the AI
Another day, another AI feature.
As AI becomes standard across software, simply calling something “AI-powered” isn’t much of a differentiator anymore. The real challenge is getting customers to understand what a new feature actually does for them, trust it enough to try it, and see enough value to keep using it.
That means a strong launch needs to start well before the feature hits the product page, with clear positioning around the customer problem, the workflow it improves, and the value it creates.
A stronger AI launch starts with the customer:
- Lead with the problem the feature solves, not the technology behind it.
- Show exactly where it fits into an existing workflow.
- Build trust by addressing questions around data, security, accuracy, and control.
- Use demos, guides, and customer stories to make unfamiliar technology feel familiar.
- Measure what happens after launch, from first use to repeat adoption and retention.
The feature may be powered by AI, but that doesn’t need to be the headline. When AI becomes standard, the way you explain its value becomes part of the product experience.
Head to Carney for more.
Q for You
What makes you try a new AI feature?

MixPanel
There’s a difference between knowing that something happened and knowing why it happened.
Mixpanel helps teams dig into user behavior with product analytics, funnels, retention reports, session replay, and experiments, so you can see where people drop off, what keeps them coming back, and which changes actually move the needle.
It also layers in AI to surface trends and help answer questions about your data without making you dig through endless dashboards. Basically, less staring at charts and more figuring out what they mean.

Bob Goes Green
Bob the Builder is back. And apparently, even Bob needs to learn some new tricks.
E.ON Next brought the iconic stop-motion builder back for the first time in 15 years, this time sending him to learn green skills like installing solar panels and home batteries.
After spending years fixing pretty much everything, Bob discovers that the energy transition requires a whole new toolkit — and a little upskilling.
Honestly, if Bob can learn new tricks, there’s hope for the rest of us.
